Infant/Junior Applications (First Admission to Primary/Junior School)

The infant/junior coordinated rounds open in early November. This means, if your child is due to join a primary school for the first time, or move from a infant school to a junior school for the first time, you can apply via this process. Secondary Applications (First Admission to Secondary School)

The secondary coordinated rounds open in early September. This means, if your child has just entered Year 6 (unless educated out of chronological age) and is due to join a secondary school for the first time, you can apply via this process. In-Year Applications (Transfer Applications or New to Nottingham)

For parents/carers wishing to apply for an in-year school place during the academic year, please carefully read the guidance notes in the `Going to School in Nottingham" booklet before completing this application. The booklet can be viewed at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/admissionarrangements

For in-year transfer applications, we aim to process them within 15 school days. Please DO NOT contact us before the 15 school day period for a decision on your application. Ensure you provide information if your child has medical needs or disability that can only be met at certain schools and if your child has been out of education for more than one month or if your child is at risk of exclusion.

Free Childcare for 2 Year Olds

The Early Learning Programme (ELP) for 2-Year-Olds is a Government initiative that provides free childcare places for eligible children. Parents and Carers can submit an application here and quickly check whether your child is eligible for a free place. It takes only a few minutes and you will get an answer straight away. If eligible, you will be able to download a confirmation letter and a code, which you can take to participating Childcare providers to claim a free place for your child.
